I listened to the audio book in the car。 I started thinking about little things I could do every day to help guide me in the direction I want to go。 Nothing profound, but motivating。 Also, my teens enjoyed the parts they heard and even requested to listen to a little more。 That is definitely a plus。

The initial premise is great, but the actual execution of the book is overdone and not very clever。 I did not enjoy as much because I felt it repeated concepts instead of giving actual advice。

Highly organised book。 Involves effective methods to enhance productivity and enjoy the workflow。

I've just finished reading this book。 It made me think specially of my habits: the positive and the negative ones and this book is full of ideas of how to change your habits in order to become a person who achieves your goals。 I've just finished reading this book。 It made me think specially of my habits: the positive and the negative ones and this book is full of ideas of how to change your habits in order to become a person who achieves your goals。 。。。more

Link your decisions to clear objectives, make a plan, focus on it, embrace obstackles, take small but continuous steps to replace your bad habits with good ones, find and keep your natural, consistent rhythm, eliminate negative external factors, build momentum and keep pushing your limits。

Yeah, it’s a cliche tool book alright, but a pretty practical one。 Even for cliche wisdom/tricks I already know, it’s interesting to hear more creative and unexpected logic and example。My preferred parts are:Owning 100 percent;Habit: Think your way out of gratification trap Addition instead of deletion。 Change is hard, Yipee; The pump well - motivation;Chapter 5: influences。 Garbage in, garbage out Limited and Expended Association;Do better than expected。

Great book but you should read this in just one week, not more!!!

Great quick read on success habits。 If you have done some study on success habits it is nothing new, but it had great examples and action items。

Nice self-help book。 The ideas are familiar but it pays to get exposed to them again and again; in this case, through the voice of an enthusiastic self improvement loving guru。 Really alters your mood and motivate you, albeit for a short period。

Self help books I can't quit you。。。。I listened to this and enjoyed it。 Motivating --how little changes have knock on effects to big changes/results。 Self help books I can't quit you。。。。I listened to this and enjoyed it。 Motivating --how little changes have knock on effects to big changes/results。 。。。more

I agree with the Compound Effect, it makes sense。 It's simple and easy。 However, as you progress on the book, it becomes, more and more, a big announcement for the author's blog, workshops, website, etc。 It's a nice self-help book if you've never read any other book of the sort, but you could probably read it in less than an hour if the author didn't fill the pages with self high-fives and promotions。 I agree with the Compound Effect, it makes sense。 It's simple and easy。 However, as you progress on the book, it becomes, more and more, a big announcement for the author's blog, workshops, website, etc。 It's a nice self-help book if you've never read any other book of the sort, but you could probably read it in less than an hour if the author didn't fill the pages with self high-fives and promotions。 。。。more

Other sections have details about motivation and consistency, and genuinely helpful tips on how to achieve those attributes。 There is that and a good about of other tips which is possible to use right after you read the chapter and has personally helped me on my self-help journey in a massively positive way。 As an additional benefit, the chapters are short and the writing style isn't overly boring and unentertaining, it manages to be enjoyable to read and give you good tips at the same time。 A definite read! 。。。more

I have read a lot of self-improvement books over the years, but have never found ‘the one’ that I would recommend to other people as the one with all the answers。 Truth be told, I am still looking, but this book has come closer than most。 This isn’t because this book offers you information that is ground breaking or new, nor is the format particularly original。 What this book does though, is it collects the vast majority of good snippets of information from other self-help books and collects the I have read a lot of self-improvement books over the years, but have never found ‘the one’ that I would recommend to other people as the one with all the answers。 Truth be told, I am still looking, but this book has come closer than most。 This isn’t because this book offers you information that is ground breaking or new, nor is the format particularly original。 What this book does though, is it collects the vast majority of good snippets of information from other self-help books and collects them in a single, concise volume。 There’s not much fluff, not too much selling, just useful, actionable information that you can get started on right now。 。。。more

First, this book is really good at explaining why successfull is not about making a single crucial decision, but instead a manifestation of integral part of life for years or even decade long。I remember someone told about Bill Gates Law, "We overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in ten years。 It's the classic instant gratification versus long term mindset"***This book is easy to understand, and there's a lot of additional point to highlight for compund effect。 It First, this book is really good at explaining why successfull is not about making a single crucial decision, but instead a manifestation of integral part of life for years or even decade long。I remember someone told about Bill Gates Law, "We overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in ten years。 It's the classic instant gratification versus long term mindset"***This book is easy to understand, and there's a lot of additional point to highlight for compund effect。 It's just 160s pages and efficient。 Highly recommended***One of the lesson this book taught me is, make your "progress of the day list"。 No, there's such thing in this book, this is just a stuff I did inspired by the book。 So 。 。If you are learning a new skill, just write down any new stuff you learned this day,If you want to increase your investation portofolio, just write down what stock you have bought this day and its price,If you are learning a new laguange, just write down how much new vocab you learned。That's it, it's not about how much, it's okay to small but the consistency is the most important。 Small but for years will be extremely significant 。。。more

The author emphasized about consistency。 Consistency is the key to success and brilliantly explained how to get the consistency interesting by building good habits and removing bad habits from our daily life。 Explained the power of habits and how to make the habits interesting。 Overall consistency of doing things leads to compounding of its effects。

Loved this book。 Would suggest it to anyone who’s looking to find the best version of themselves。 “You alone are responsible for what you do, don’t do, or how you respond to what’s done to you。”“You make your choices, and then your choices make you。”“Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = radical difference。”“You will get in life what you accept and expect you are worthy of。”“Don't wish it were easier; wish you were better。”“Commitment is doing the thing you said you were going to do, long Loved this book。 Would suggest it to anyone who’s looking to find the best version of themselves。 “You alone are responsible for what you do, don’t do, or how you respond to what’s done to you。”“You make your choices, and then your choices make you。”“Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = radical difference。”“You will get in life what you accept and expect you are worthy of。”“Don't wish it were easier; wish you were better。”“Commitment is doing the thing you said you were going to do, long after the mood you said it in has left you。”  。。。more

I got so much out of this book, with the bottom line being the compound effect can either work for or against you--you choose。 Each chapter is packed with solid advice and points that really get you thinking about the potential flaws within your habits and lifestyle as a whole。 I am so excited to implement all I have learned from The Compound Effect into my life and strongly urge literally anyone to read this book!

Nathan Hawkins

So good it made the extremely rare category of not being deleted so I can easily and regularly revisit。 It does feel a bit cheesy, but the advice and insights are solid。 I am a better person for engaging with this book。

I like the "Compound effect" concept a lot, and I was hoping to explore how it applies to different areas of life but the book does not seem to cover it that much。 It contains some general advice, which is fine for people who do not read a lot of productivity books, but if you consume a lot of this type of content the book will be a bit too basic。 I like the "Compound effect" concept a lot, and I was hoping to explore how it applies to different areas of life but the book does not seem to cover it that much。 It contains some general advice, which is fine for people who do not read a lot of productivity books, but if you consume a lot of this type of content the book will be a bit too basic。 。。。more
